Director of Compliance

Summary: Designs and implements programs, policies and practices to ensure that the organization complies with accreditation, HIPAA and policy standards. Supports and manages the development and implementation of company compliance.


  • Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program.
  • Proactively audit process, practices, and documents for compliance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices.
  • Perform routine risk assessments to help organization understand compliance risk, scope and significance.
  • Monitor and analyze outcomes to ensure goals, objectives, accreditation, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Support the accomplishments of company strategic plans that achieve high impact and significant improvements in organizational performance.
  • Oversee HIPAA and training/processes mandated by HIPAA.
  • Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies and procedures and standards of conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
  • Assist in preparation for accreditation standards.
  • Conduct internal auditing of compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed.


  • 3-5 years relevant work experience in compliance environment, preferably in the medical field.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with other.
  • Proven motivational ability with a positive leadership style.
